Why the In-Between is Important

Life is not the mountaintops; it’s the walking in between. Thanks, Ben Rector.

Ever since returning from the World Race, I have been craving a place to write and share what I am learning with others.

I want the in-between adventures to be that place. I love writing. It is my way of inviting anyone who is willing to read into the inner processes and workings of my life. I want this to be a space where I freely share and you are welcome to freely respond.

My life has been marked by big, extraordinary adventures, but that is not where most of the growth has taken place. The memorable, fantastical adventures are so valuable, but I’m learning that the in-between is also worth sharing and learning from.

This blog will be about the adventures, the travels, and the big moments whenever they do happen. But more than that it will be my place to process the long-term, less glamorous adventures that the Lord has for me.

I am currently in the process of learning marriage. As newlyweds, Jacob and I have already weathered our fair share of challenges and we are committed to continuously learning how to better love each other through whatever life throws at us.

I am also in the process of healing and am exploring what it means to make intentional choices about my health. Fibromyalgia and endometriosis have filled my days with overwhelming amounts of pain in the past two years. I’ve drastically changed my diet, outlook, and lifestyle and would love to share my pain and joy along the journey.

Finally, I am always and forever in the process of learning to love the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and also loving my neighbor as myself.

This space will be my place to share things I’m passionate about, what I’m reading, lessons that the Lord is teaching me, and reflections on the daily adventures of my life. Loving my husband, seeking healing for my body, and pursuing relationship with Jesus are my in-between and in-process adventures. I’d like to invite you guys to experience these stories along with me.

This is what I’m learning in the in-between and I am thankful to have a place to share it! Please subscribe if you’d like to follow and join me on this journey.
